Your first day - installing Remy for yourself

3 min read

Your administrator has set Remy up in your team's space. To complete the setup you follow a simple flow to connect your data, and then a wait while Remy builds your memory.

How it works

1. Connect sources, mine client memories

To retrieve the information Remy needs, you’ll need to log in to the relevant sources using your usual company credentials. Only data that you already have permission to access will be available.

Remy checks each connector (Calendar, Mail, Client book and Recordings). When all of them show connected, press Continue. Use Check again to re-run the check.

2. Install Remy

Once your sources are connected, press Setup Remy. Remy shows you the steps that will be required for the setup and starts working through them.

Remy reads your mailbox, calendar, chats, the CRM and your client document folders, works out who your clients are, and builds one memory per client. You can watch it happen, client by client.

When all steps are done, press Go to dashboard.

3. Remy builds on it

Remy starts working in the background for you - reviewing your clients, upcoming meetings, and open items, and preparing work for you (e.g., meeting preparation, investment proposal, follow-up emails) based on its memory. With the overnight schedule in place, you start each day with the groundwork already done.

4. Your dashboard

Your initial dashboard gets created containing:

  • Prepared for you - the Prepared for you section comes from the set-up run and the nightly runs, highlighting all the items that Remy has prepared for you.

  • Client Memory - everyone Remy found: clients, prospects, onboardings. If someone is missing, it is because Remy could not confirm their identity across your systems; register them by name in chat and Remy will build their memory.

  • Meetings - the coming days from your calendar, prepared and matched to clients.

5. How long it takes

The initial build of the client memory is the most time-intensive step. The time required depends on the number of clients you cover, the volume of emails and documents, the data sources included (e.g., CRM and portfolio data), and your company setup, including the LLM used.

As a guideline, a book of a few dozen clients can typically be processed within a few hours - as a rule of thumb approximately 5 minutes per client, depending on the amount and complexity of the data being analyzed. For larger client books, we recommend starting the initial build at the end of the day.

Once the client memory is established, the nightly run is much faster, as Remy only processes new or changed information.

If something looks off

Open the install report from the dashboard footer: it shows which setup steps ran, which sources were used and which were unavailable. A step reported as skipped names the reason - usually a connector your administrator has not yet enabled. Nothing is guessed around a missing source.

Remy can look different from one company to another. Each company decides which data sources are connected and available - such as portfolio data, CRM, email, or calendar - and defines its own instructions (Skills) for how Remy should use the client memory and how information should be presented in the dashboard.

As a result, the available information, dashboard structure, and individual cards can vary significantly between companies. Depending on your setup, some cards might not be present. Your administrator can confirm which sources, Skills, and dashboard components are currently enabled.
