Select Files to Chat — Focus the AI on specific Knowledge Base documents to get faster, more accurate, and highly relevant answers.

Overview

Select Files to Chat lets you choose which documents from the Knowledge Base the assistant draws on when answering your questions. Instead of searching across everything, you point the AI to exactly what's relevant — resulting in faster, more accurate, and more focused responses.

Who is this for?

This feature is particularly useful for:

Role

How they benefit

All users

Get precise answers grounded in specific documents rather than the entire Knowledge Base.

Knowledge admins

Manage document access and control which content is used as context.

Teams with large Knowledge Bases

Avoid noise from irrelevant or outdated content by scoping the search.

Portfolio managers

Work within the model's token and page limits by narrowing context to only the files that matter.
