Overview

The SWOT Agent is an advanced AI-powered research assistant, that performs in-depth analysis and investigation across multiple sources to provide an equity analyst or researcher a comprehensive overview about a company based on its Strength, Weaknesses,Threats and Opportunities. This agent is usually running 15 - 30 minutes and reviewing multiple third party documents and external sources such as Earnings Calls from Quartr.

Who is it for?

This feature is ideal for:

  • users who need to conduct a comprehensive SWOT analysis of a company by synthesizing large volumes of internal documents and external sources (usually, equity analysts and researchers).

  • users who are constrained by prompt, token, or page limits and want to ensure the SWOT analysis maximizes to capture critical insights without missing important information from the source materials.

Benefits

  • A standardized, specialized approach to extract the strongest SWOT-specific insights from diverse sources and create a report in the configured company format.

  • Time-saving: Dramatically reduces the effort of sifting through thousands of pages of third‑party research and external materials (e.g., earnings calls) by automatically surfacing the key takeaways.

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open new Chat

  2. (Mandatory) Enter the stock name or ticker (auto-suggestions will appear in real time). This guarantees the SWOT analysis targets the correct company and ensures accurate Earnings Call retrieval via Quartr, since Quartr requires an exact match on name/ticker.

  3. (Mandatory) Choose the internal knowledge source that the SWOT should use for research. You can search to locate the relevant folder or file. You’ll only see items you have access to. If something is missing, verify that the folder/file has the correct access permissions in the Unique platform (contact your admin if needed).

  1. (Optional) Choose the Earnings Calls range to broaden the research by including quarterly Earnings Call transcripts. For example, selecting “last year” will pull the most recent four quarters.

  1. When you’re satisfied with the selections and scope for the SWOT agent, click Run. The agent will begin processing and, depending on your resources and scope, it can take some time to generate a Word report. You can leave the chat and come back anytime to your chat history.

Tips & Tricks

  • Create company-specific folders (e.g., in SharePoint) to store only the relevant research papers for this analysis.

  • Increased Earnings Call years range can lead to significant higher run times, please choose the range accordingly

Limitations

  • Single files exceeding 400 pages are likely surpassing the token limit and would lead to SWOT report failures. Therefore, they are automatically skipped at the moment.

  • Web Search is not supported yet
